A “Flydubai” airline plane flying on the Dubai-Tel Aviv route changed its direction and headed to Saudi Arabia after giving a signal about a possible hijacking.

According to “Flightradar24”, the plane changed its direction while over Jordan. It was reported that the crew activated the emergency code used during the hijacking of the plane and sent a distress signal.
The Israeli Air Force raised its combat readiness level and scrambled fighter jets. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called a security meeting with the participation of representatives of defense agencies.
Later, the plane landed safely in Saudi Arabia.
After the landing, Israeli media reported that the cause of the incident was a hand-to-hand fight between the pilots.
It was noted that there were more than 174 passengers on board the plane, most of whom were Israeli citizens.
