Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of trying to make the western part of the Black Sea unusable for shipping.
Modern.az reports that Zelensky shared this on his “Telegram” channel.
According to him, Ukraine's intelligence and special services are investigating all information regarding the next attack against civilian ships in the Black Sea.
Zelensky stated that two civilian ships were attacked last night in Bulgarian waters. One of the ships sank, and the other was seriously damaged.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized that the Defense Forces did not conduct any operations in that part of the sea.
“This is a continuation of Russia's attempts to make the western part of the Black Sea completely unusable for shipping,” Zelensky noted.
According to the President, the information was clarified with the Bulgarian side, and the Ukrainian Navy contacted their Bulgarian counterparts.
Zelensky claimed that the attack was carried out by Russia using sea and air drones.
He also stated that he instructed the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense, intelligence, and other relevant agencies to strengthen cooperation with partner countries.
