The Trump administration is expanding its voluntary return program.
Modern.az reports that migrant children aged 5 and over are offered 3,000 dollars in exchange for agreeing to leave the US.
This offer replaced an earlier initiative that provided for the payment of 2,500 dollars to unaccompanied minors over the age of 14.
According to Bloomberg, lawyers are sounding the alarm. In their opinion, minors are encouraged to make hasty decisions without legal assistance. As a result, they face the risk of permanently losing the opportunity to obtain asylum.
