In the French capital Paris, protesters have blocked the entrances to the Louvre Museum, one of the most famous museums in the world.

Modern.az reports that France's AFP news agency disseminated this information.

It was stated that students from art and culture schools gathered in front of the museum to support ongoing protests in the education sector and to protest against police violence. They prevented the museum management from opening the doors to visitors.

Amid mass protests in France against rising living costs and problems in the education system, which have been ongoing since the weekend, a demonstration was also held in front of the Louvre Museum on Monday morning.

Protesters distributed statements in English and French. The statements included the phrases “We are proud to announce that we are blockading the world's largest museum.”

As a result of the action, numerous tourists who had purchased tickets in advance were unable to enter the museum. For this reason, tension arose between tourists and protesters.
