Modern.az reports that US President Donald Trump said these words. Answering journalists' questions at the White House, Trump said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should want to end the war.
“Ukraine must resolve this war. Zelensky should be interested in ending the war. If he doesn't want to, I think the consequences will be very bad. We have provided enormous assistance to Ukraine. In return, we have received nothing but a large amount of diesel fuel,” the US President said.
Answering a question about Russia's shelling of settlements in Ukraine and the death of civilians, Trump claimed that mainly soldiers were killed in the conflict.
“There are some people in the city that was hit, or similar cases, but mainly soldiers are killed,” he said.
Trump added that the US and Europe have spent a lot of money on the conflict, and Europe is already tired of it.
“Ukraine should want to reach an agreement. Because the US has spent a great fortune, and Europe has also spent a huge amount of money. And now Europe is tired of it,” the American leader emphasized.
According to Trump, if the parties cannot reach an agreement, the consequences of the conflict will become increasingly severe.
