US President Donald Trump said that the midterm elections to Congress, to be held on November 3, are very important for him. He announced that he would spend more than $400 million for this purpose until election day, and has already spent more than $300 million.
Modern.az reports that Trump wrote about this in his post on the “Truth Social” platform.
“Because I believe in the Republican Party, all our political views and principles, especially considering the events happening in France and other European countries, I am pleased to announce that I will spend more than $400 million until the most important midterm elections in our country's history.
More than $300 million has already been spent on advertising, direct and indirect work with voters, rallies, rally venues, phone rallies, voter turnout programs, ensuring election integrity, and other measures,” Trump noted.
The US President added that it is a great honor for him to take such a step on behalf of the Republican Party, which has done a lot to “pull the country out of the abyss.”
