Russia is ready to meet the US demand for diesel fuel. The first tanker carrying fuel under the “Diesel Agreement” will depart for the US on October 22.
Modern.az reports that this was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
“We will meet the US demand for diesel fuel within our capabilities,” said the Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
Alexander Novak had previously emphasized in an interview with “Vesti” that the supplies would not affect the price of diesel fuel in the domestic market. He explained that the country's production capacities exceed domestic demand by two times.
On October 9, a phone conversation took place between the presidents of Russia and the United States. After the conversation, US President Donald Trump announced that a large-scale agreement in the energy sector had been reached.
