Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not ruled out the possibility of a peace agreement that could result in the loss of approximately 25 percent of the country's territory and involve a cessation of hostilities along the current front line.
Modern.az reports that he spoke about this in an interview with the American TV channel "Fox News".
The journalist asked Zelensky if he would accept an agreement that would involve freezing the conflict at current positions and Kyiv retaining control of three-quarters or more of the country's territory.
"Yes. If we have to freeze everything right now, I think that's a real way to end the war," Zelensky replied.
Thus, the Ukrainian leader assessed the cessation of hostilities along the current front line as one of the possible options for ending the war. However, his statement does not mean that he has agreed to sign a specific peace agreement involving territorial concessions.
