In September, Britain's national debt exceeded 3 trillion pounds sterling for the first time.
Modern.az reports that the UK's Office for National Statistics released this information.
The report notes that “as of the end of September 2024, the national debt exceeded the 3 trillion pounds sterling mark for the first time.”
Despite this record nominal figure, the agency states that a positive trend has been observed regarding the debt-to-economy ratio: the current level of national debt relative to GDP is lower than the figure a year ago.
