An exchange of captured servicemen took place between Russia and Ukraine. The parties mutually released a total of 540 servicemen based on the “270 to 270” formula.
Modern.az reports that the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement about this.
It was stated that the Russian servicemen returned from captivity are currently in Belarus. Yana Lantratova, Russia's human rights commissioner, is working with them.
It should be noted that the last prisoner exchange between the parties took place on August 19. At that time, 103 Russian servicemen were returned to their homeland, and the same number of servicemen were handed over to the Ukrainian side.
It should be recalled that Russia started an aggressive war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
