The share of modern weapons and equipment produced in Turkey in the arsenal of Kosovo security forces is rapidly increasing.
Modern.az reports that, according to information spread by foreign media, official Pristina has significantly expanded cooperation with the Turkish military industry in recent years to strengthen its defense capabilities.
According to the information, Kosovo forces are currently actively using a number of modern weapon systems produced in Turkey. These include MPT-55 automatic rifles, MKE-produced PMT-76 machine guns, OMTAS anti-tank missile system developed by ROKETSAN, as well as VURAN armored vehicles equipped with ASELSAN integrated ALKAR mortar system and COBRA armored vehicles produced by "Otokar" company.
Experts believe that the expansion of military-technical cooperation with Turkey provides Kosovo with more flexible and modern defense capabilities. This process also shows the increasing influence of Turkey's defense industry in the international market.
