Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian attended a meeting at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

Modern.az reports, citing “Mehr”, that the President, listening to opinions, concerns and reports on the situation in the country at the meeting, emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the government and the private sector to maintain market stability and protect the livelihood of the people. He gave important instructions on market regulation, production support and combating economic disruptors.

In another part of his speech, Pezeshkian touched upon his recent meeting with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. He said that the meeting lasted approximately two and a half hours. According to the President, the most striking aspect was the Supreme Leader's manner of dealing with people, his humility and sincerity. Pezeshkian stated that this approach transformed the meeting environment into an atmosphere of trust, calm and direct dialogue.

He noted that such a behavioral model at the highest leadership level of the country can also serve as an example for the governance system - in terms of being close to the people, truly listening to their problems and acting with a sense of responsibility.

The President stated that in the current sensitive regional and internal conditions, such an approach can play an important role in strengthening social trust and national unity.

Pezeshkian then said that since the government began its work, the country has faced economic crises, war, attempts to reactivate the “snapback” mechanism and social unrest. According to him, the purpose of all these pressures was to create public dissatisfaction, disrupt internal stability and weaken the country. However, the Iranian people, together with the security forces, did not allow these plans to be implemented.

The President called managing energy consumption one of the main conditions for the country to emerge from crises. He noted that electricity consumption in Iran is approximately three times higher than the average in European countries, and changing the consumption model is a national necessity.

Pezeshkian said that the government's main priority is to prevent gas and electricity cuts in production facilities, and for this, unnecessary consumption in homes and the administrative sector should be reduced.

The President then stated that the lack of decisiveness in decision-making processes and the conflict of powers in the country slowed down governance. For this reason, he said that the government has started to transfer some powers to provincial governors and local administrations.

He emphasized that internal disagreements are the main target of enemies, and for this reason, maintaining national solidarity is more important than all different views.
