The main prize was won in the "Eurojackpot" lottery draw held on June 26.
Modern.az reports with reference to the "Bild" newspaper that the winner of the record amount was a resident of the North Rhine-Westphalia state of Germany. He found the correct numbers and became the owner of the jackpot of 87 million 264 thousand 546.90 euros.
Each of the five winners in the second prize category won more than 481 thousand euros. Two of these prizes went to the state of Bavaria, and the others to Lower Saxony, Estonia and Sweden. Three more participants won 452 thousand 546 euros each. These prizes went to Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Iceland. In addition, thousands of participants received prizes in lower prize categories.
The last jackpot win in the "Eurojackpot" lottery was recorded on May 26. At that time, a participant from the Czech Republic won 120 million euros. The last time the main prize of "Eurojackpot" went to Germany this year was on March 31. A player from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia won 70.7 million euros.
