A member of the ISIS terrorist organization has been killed in Istanbul.
Modern.az reports with reference to the Turkish press that the operation was carried out in a coordinated manner by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and Istanbul Police in the Sultanbeyli district.
The suspect, who was allegedly planning a terrorist act in Turkey, opened fire on police officers during the operation and was neutralized. One civilian was injured during the incident.
According to the information, during the operation to detain 21-year-old Berkan Ç., who is believed to be connected to ISIS, the suspect opened fire on police officers. As a result of the police officers' return fire, Berkan Ç. was neutralized.
It was reported that one citizen was injured during the incident. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
