US President Donald Trump has confirmed the withdrawal of the last American troops from Iraq.
Modern.az reports that Trump made a post about this on his “Truth Social” account.
Trump called the operation in Iraq a “very expensive excursion into hell.”
“Today I am pleased to announce that the last US forces have left Iraq. This took a long time. Extremely unsuccessful decisions dragged us into this quagmire at the beginning, but soon all this will become part of history,” the US leader said.
According to him, the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq means a victory for the US and Iraq, and a defeat for ISIS.
