Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the country is in a difficult situation, but efforts are being made to continue production in the energy and industrial sectors.

Modern.az reports that “Tasnim” agency disseminated this information.

Pezeshkian made these remarks during his speech via video conference at the meeting of the Planning and Development Council of East Azerbaijan province.

He emphasized the importance of granting broader powers to provincial leaders. The President stated that local leaders should not wait for instructions from Tehran on all matters, but should make independent decisions.

“In the 48 years since the Islamic Revolution, we have never been in such a difficult situation. The enemy tried to collapse the country by terrorizing commanders and leaders, causing the death of leaders, and with comprehensive attacks. By blocking sea, air, and land routes, they wanted to prevent services from being provided to the population and create dissatisfaction. But we have stood firm and are ensuring the country's supply,” Pezeshkian said.

He noted that central and local institutions must work together to solve problems:

“Either we will build a road, or we will find a way. With your help, we will overcome this path.”

Pezeshkian also spoke about attacks on energy infrastructure. He stated that power plants, the gas network, and industrial enterprises have been subjected to attacks.

Pezeshkian called on the public to join the energy saving campaign, and to reduce energy consumption by dressing warmly at home. In his opinion, this will help the industry continue its operations.
