US President Donald Trump's press secretary, Katie Zakaria, has resigned. She ended her activity in the White House just five days after being appointed to this post.

Zakaria's resignation came after her first press briefing was criticized and questions arose about her legal education.
Trump told reporters on October 16 that he advised Zakaria to reconsider her decision to stay in office.
"I don't think she will be happy in this job," the US President noted.
Zakaria held her first press briefing at the White House on October 13. During the briefing, which lasted approximately 14 minutes, her speech and answers to journalists' questions were criticized.
In addition, discussions arose about Zakaria's activity as a lawyer. In an interview, she confirmed that she had not passed the bar exam required for legal practice in the United States.
Zakaria replaced Karolin Livitti as White House press secretary.
According to Reuters, a White House official confirmed her departure.
