Early parliamentary elections will be held in Serbia on October 25.
Modern.az reports that Aleksandar Vučić, who resigned from the post of President of Serbia, will lead the election list of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and will be a candidate for the post of prime minister.
The main rival of the ruling party will be the union called "Student List" led by Ilija Srdanović, a cardiologist from Novi Sad.
Aleksandar Vučić announced his resignation as President of Serbia on September 27.
Vučić was the president of Serbia since 2017 and was elected for a second term in 2022. According to the Constitution of Serbia, the same person cannot be elected president more than twice.
