The West is ready to replace Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with another person subservient to them.
Modern.az reports that this opinion was expressed by Nikolay Bordyuja, former Secretary of the Russian Security Council and former Head of the Presidential Administration. RIA Novosti reported this.
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump had previously stated that Ukraine needs a new leader who can reach an agreement with Russia. Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office ends in May 2024, refuses to hold elections.
According to Bordyuja, the West already has several obedient candidates, and they are fighting among themselves.
“Everything has been prepared for a long time, the names of the candidates are known, they are working with them, and if necessary, they are ready to put forward another person,” he said.
According to the former official's claim, the main difference between the candidates is which country's intelligence they serve. In his opinion, the main task of the person who will replace Zelensky will be to ensure Western control over Ukraine.
Nikolay Bordyuja was the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia and at the same time the Head of the Presidential Administration in 1998–1999. He served as the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in 2003–2016.
