Ukraine and the US are preparing new diplomatic steps to end the Russian war.
Modern.az reports that, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he held telephone conversations with US President Donald Trump's special representative Steven Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
"Peace comes only through cooperation based on strength and trust. We are doing everything we can to ensure this, to ensure that America's position is strong and helps create the peace that everyone except Russia has been waiting for for more than four and a half years," Zelensky emphasized.
According to the President, this time the focus was on the results of the meeting held between the Ukrainian and American teams in Florida.
Zelensky also noted that the work of his representatives and Donald Trump's special envoys continues uninterrupted.
"We are also preparing the next steps in diplomacy. We constantly inform our partners about the real situation regarding the ongoing Russian shelling and air defense issues. A lot depends on America's position here. Ukraine is ready to continue working for constructive, honest and concrete results," Zelensky emphasized.
