US President Donald Trump addressed the people of Israel.
Modern.az reports that Trump emphasized his open support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's re-election in a post on his "Truth Social" account.
The US leader called Netanyahu a "great warrior Prime Minister" and an "important partner for peace":
"Netanyahu has been a great warrior Prime Minister in the fight against Iran, and an even greater partner for peace. Considering Iran's slogan for 51 years, 'Death to Israel, Death to America! We will destroy the small and great devils!', what country can survive if such words are allowed to be uttered?
It would only be a matter of time before Iran carried out this terrible threat. But Iran has been systematically destroyed, both militarily and financially. If it does not change its ways soon, we will finish our work in the near future.
If Israel has the wrong leader (excluding Netanyahu), America will have to do this work itself. And I have no desire for that.
He has proven to be a strong, courageous, and brilliant leader in the face of great resistance, including from within Israel itself. Despite all this, he has endured and even grown stronger!
I have watched how he behaved during the most difficult times. In such situations, an ordinary man or woman would break under pressure. But he did not break; on the contrary, he became even stronger and maintains the same strength today.
This is exactly the kind of partner the United States expects from Israel. The US has done a lot for Israel.
Netanyahu will never disappoint!"
It should be noted that parliamentary elections in Israel will be held on October 27.
