Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has engaged in another war of words with Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that in response to Simonyan calling Belarus "Russia's province," she stated:
"For Alen Simonyan, achieving the successes Belarus has made in economic, industrial, production, and agricultural sectors is as far away as reaching the moon."
The Russian Foreign Ministry representative noted that Simonyan's statements are envy against the successes of a country and people who have done no harm to Armenia.
Previously, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry presented a note to Armenia's interim charge d'affaires in Belarus, Artur Sarkisyan, expressing its strong protest.
