Slovakia is proud to contribute to the reconstruction of the liberated territories of Karabakh.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the Chairman of the National Council of Slovakia, Richard Raši, at a joint press conference with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, in Baku.
According to him, Slovak companies are participating in the implementation of the “smart village” project in the village of Bash Garvand in the Aghdam region.
Richard Raši noted that he will visit Karabakh to observe the progress of the ongoing reconstruction work.
He stated that direct flights between Bratislava and Baku will be launched starting from October this year: “I firmly believe that the Slovak Republic will become a popular destination for Azerbaijani tourists and entrepreneurs, just as Azerbaijan is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for Slovak tourists and business people. Slovakia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners, and today's events clearly demonstrate that our relations are in a strong phase of development in terms of economic, inter-parliamentary, and people-to-people ties. Finally, I want to reaffirm that Slovakia remains a reliable and balanced partner for Azerbaijan on the European stage. We intend to continue developing this partnership with great intensity in the future.”
