Azerbaijan's Consul General in Tabriz died as a result of a car accident.
Modern.az reports that this information was provided on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's "X" account.
"We were deeply saddened by the news that our esteemed diplomat colleague, Ramil Rza oglu Imranov, who served as the Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tabriz, Islamic Republic of Iran, passed away as a result of an accident involving the car he was driving while performing his official duties near Marand settlement on the Julfa-Tabriz highway," the statement said.
