Russian President Vladimir Putin's daughters, Maria Vorontsova and Katerina Tikhonova, will participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum for the third consecutive time.
Modern.az reports that, according to the forum's program, both individuals will take part in events held on June 3.
According to information, Maria Vorontsova will personally participate as a moderator in a panel dedicated to career guidance and mentorship in medicine. It is reported that a bill envisioning mandatory employment for medical university graduates in healthcare institutions will also be discussed during the session.
Katerina Tikhonova, CEO of "Innopraktika" company, will join a session dedicated to the shortage of engineering personnel via video link. During the discussions, views will be exchanged on the decreasing number of engineers in Russia and the growing demand in this field.
It is noted that the participation of Putin's daughters in the forum has already become a tradition. Last year, Vorontsova spoke on human development and bioeconomics, while Tikhonova addressed technological leadership.
Bloomberg previously wrote that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is increasingly becoming a platform where family members of Russian officials come to the forefront instead of large international investors and heads of multinational companies.
