Iran has decided to suspend the exchange of messages and negotiations with the US through mediators amid escalating tensions in Lebanon and Gaza.
Modern.az reports that Tasnim agency disseminated information about this.
According to the information, Tehran justified the decision by the continuation of Israel's operations in Lebanon and the violation of ceasefire conditions.
It was stated that Iranian officials emphasized that Lebanon was one of the preconditions for a ceasefire, noting that this agreement is currently being violated in various directions, including Lebanon.
The information also emphasized that the Iranian side demands an immediate cessation of military operations by the Israeli army in Gaza and Lebanon and a complete withdrawal from Lebanese territories.
According to Tasnim, Iran and the "axis of resistance" forces have stated that new steps are being considered in the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and in other directions, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
It was noted that Tehran does not intend to resume negotiations until its demands are met.
