Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan still heads the country's Chess Federation.

Modern.az reports that Sargsyan has been serving as the Federation's president since 2004.

He was last elected as the head of the federation in the elections held in 2022. 

Thus, Sargsyan, who was forced to leave his post during popular protests in 2018, has nevertheless not yet resigned from the leadership of the Chess Federation.
