Turkey's famous singer and founder of the "Ahbap" charity foundation, Haluk Levent, was detained during an operation carried out by law enforcement agencies. According to the information, 17 other people were also involved in the investigation along with him.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that according to the information released by the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office, Haluk Levent is suspected of violating the law "On Associations", legalizing funds obtained through crime, and participating in a criminal organization.
It is noted in the investigation materials that financial transactions amounting to approximately 990 million Turkish liras were carried out through bank accounts linked to Haluk Levent between 2020 and 2026. During the investigation, it is alleged that large sums of money were transferred to accounts related to gambling activities, and various financial schemes related to this were identified. In addition, according to the investigation, approximately 120 million Turkish liras were transferred from the accounts of the "Ahbap" foundation to the personal account of Haluk Levent's assistant.
It is noted that these are allegations made within the framework of the investigation, and the final legal assessment will be given as a result of the court investigation.
