The command of the Bahrain Armed Forces announced that several missiles and air strikes launched by Iran towards the country's territory on Tuesday morning were neutralized by air defense systems.
Modern.az reports with reference to "BBC" that the official statement accused Iran of "continuing its hostile policy". It was stated that the attacks targeted the civilian population of Bahrain, which is considered a "gross violation" of international law.
Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have hit and destroyed a number of US facilities located in Bahrain. According to the IRGC's statement, the targets included several weapons depots, a satellite communication center, a building where US military personnel were located, and an air traffic control radar belonging to the US Navy.
The claims made by the parties have not yet been confirmed by independent sources.
