All issues related to the consequences of AZAL plane crashes have been resolved.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"This year, as a result of high-level agreements reached and the work done by our governments and ministries, we have settled all issues related to the consequences of the disaster," Lavrov said.
It should be noted that an "Embraer-190" aircraft belonging to "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL) crashed in December 2024. The plane was damaged as a result of the explosion of missiles launched from the Russian air defense system during an attempt to shoot down Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.
The plane crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan. 38 people died as a result of the incident.
In April 2026, Moscow and Baku reached an agreement on compensation payments.
