The meeting dedicated to border security issues was held under the chairmanship of Ağrı Governor Önder Bozkurt.
The Turkish delegation was led by Önder Bozkurt, and the Iranian delegation was led by Colonel Mehdi Habibzadeh, commander of the border guard forces of the Maku region.
During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening border security, preventing illegal crossing of the border by migrants and effective measures to combat drug smuggling.
In addition, the issue of increasing the efficiency of customs procedures was also touched upon.
The parties exchanged views on the future development of cooperation between Turkey and Iran in the field of border security.
