Many people walk every day to improve their health and physical fitness. However, the question arises whether walking at a normal pace daily is enough to strengthen the p and provide real health benefits.

Modern.az reports that Japanese researchers have determined that how a person walks can be as important as the regularity of exercise or the number of steps taken. "Gezondnu.nl" reported on this.

Research in this direction was conducted at Shinshu University in Japan. Professor Hiroshi Noze and his team led the scientific work. The researchers worked on a method known as interval walking. The main difference of this approach is that instead of maintaining a constant pace during walking, periods of fast and slow movement are alternated.

The method is quite simple and does not require complex calculations. Experts recommend walking at a fast pace for 3 minutes, and then at a comfortable pace for 3 minutes. This cycle is repeated 5 times in a row. Thus, the total duration of one exercise is approximately 30 minutes.

According to Japanese scientists, the results of this method have been quite positive. People who strictly adhered to the interval walking regimen showed a greater increase in leg muscle strength compared to the control group. In addition, more positive changes were recorded in their blood pressure indicators compared to participants who walked at a constant pace for the same period. Scientists explain in detail why this method is more effective than standard walks. The alternation of different intensities creates a higher, but controlled, load on the cardiovascular system. At the same time, the slow-paced walking phases give the p the necessary time to recover during exercise. This correct combination of tension and rest helps to significantly increase the overall exercise effect without the need for heavy and tiring physical exercises.

Researchers also believe that more intensive movement phases can significantly increase the p's overall energy expenditure. This makes such exercise more effective than traditional walking at a constant and comfortable pace.

One of the main advantages of the Japanese method is its accessibility to everyone. This method does not require special sports equipment, a fitness club membership, or a high level of physical fitness.

To start interval walking, all you need is comfortable shoes and a timer to track three-minute intervals. Such exercise makes it a practical and convenient alternative for people who want to improve their physical fitness and strengthen their health, but prefer to avoid running and strenuous exercises.
