Another element symbolizing the approaching COP17 - a butterfly showing the time remaining until the start of the conference - has been installed in the capital.
Modern.az reports that the Ministry of Environment of Armenia has released information about this.
"From now on, it will remind us every day how much time is left until Yerevan hosts one of the most important global conferences dedicated to biodiversity conservation. Every day we get closer to COP17. This event will turn Armenia into one of the main platforms for global dialogue and decision-making on nature conservation. The countdown has begun. Yerevan is preparing for COP17. We act for the sake of nature," the ministry's statement said.
It should be noted that COP17 will be held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, from October 19-30.
