The Kremlin agreed with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's view that there is no prospect for peace talks with Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
According to Peskov, talks between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will take place in the near future.
He noted that if Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner want to share the results of talks held with Ukrainian representatives in the US, they will be gladly received in Moscow.
The Kremlin spokesman said it is not yet known whether their visit to Russia in October will take place.
Peskov added that American negotiators are always welcome in Moscow and Putin is happy to meet with them.
