US President Donald Trump recalled his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking about his role in resolving the long-standing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Modern.az reports that Trump spoke about this during a rally in Syracuse, New York.
The US leader stated that he resolved the 32-year conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia in just two days.
“Actually, Putin couldn't believe it. He told me that he tried to resolve this conflict for 10 years, but failed. And I did it in two days,” Trump said.
It should be recalled that on August 8, 2025, a Joint Declaration was signed in Washington with the participation of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the text of the peace agreement between the two countries was initialed. The agreement has not yet been officially signed.
