Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the country's strength and dignity depend on scientific progress.
Modern.az reports, citing IRNA, that Pezeshkian said this at a ceremony in Karaj dedicated to the start of the 2026–2027 agricultural year.
“We will not accept submission to violence and injustice. But it is impossible to gain strength and dignity without science and knowledge. We cannot make grand statements when we are deprived of knowledge,” the Iranian president emphasized.
Pezeshkian stated that the government has tried to overcome obstacles by relying on internal capabilities and its administrators.
“Obstacles were placed in our way, but we stood firm and a path was opened for us to move forward,” he noted.
According to the president, a common goal and determination, as well as increased productivity, can help overcome the difficulties created by sanctions.
Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of more efficient use of water and land resources and the application of modern technologies in agriculture. He called on leaders to utilize the knowledge of scientists and experts, as well as successful international experience.
The Iranian president stated that decisions should be based on scientific evidence, logic, and well-founded arguments.
