“Russian President Vladimir Putin is looking for a new enemy, and that enemy could be Europe.”
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
According to her, Putin is taking provocative steps against Europe to distract attention from the course of the war in Ukraine.
“Putin is provoking Europe because he needs to distract attention from how the war in Ukraine, the situation on the battlefield, is developing. He is looking for a new enemy, and this new enemy could be Europe,” Meloni said.
The Italian Prime Minister called on European countries to be vigilant and carefully monitor the situation.
“Of course, we must remain vigilant, monitor the situation, and continue the work we are currently doing. But I don't think Putin should be given such an advantage.
I am sure that we must keep our cool, especially at this moment,” Meloni emphasized.
