Clubs playing in the English Premier League are preparing to demand that "Manchester City" be expelled from the championship for at least the upcoming season.
Modern.az reports that "Sky Sports" has released information about this.
Clubs are also concerned about the damage that the position of "Manchester City" management could inflict on the image of the Premier League. The Manchester representative, however, denies the accusations and intends to appeal the results of the independent commission.
The independent commission found that "Manchester City" violated a number of rules during the period between the 2009/2010-2017/2018 seasons.
According to the commission's findings:
"Manchester City" entered into fraudulent contracts with a number of commercial partners, distorting the essence of the real agreements between the parties, and also used "fake" contracts with other partners to artificially increase the club's revenues and reduce its expenses;
The club submitted incorrect information in its financial reports and concealed the real state of its financial situation from auditors and football regulatory bodies;
"Manchester City" significantly exceeded the spending limits set by the Premier League and UEFA;
During the Premier League's investigation, the club repeatedly violated its obligations of cooperation and honest interaction with the league. Three out of four potential violations have been proven.
The commission's statement indicates that the issue of sanctions to be applied to "Manchester City" will be considered in separate hearings.
