Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia has virtually started additional mobilization to strengthen its army at the front.
Modern.az reports that, according to Zelensky, Russia is increasing the number of those recruited into the army by various methods and plans to more actively involve foreign citizens in the war.
The Ukrainian leader said that he would inform the authorities of the countries from which Russia recruits military personnel for the war and call on those states to prevent this.
Zelensky also said that, according to new data from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, North Korea is preparing to send 10,000 more troops to Russia. According to him, there are currently more than 8,000 North Korean servicemen in Russia.
According to V. Zelensky, the Kremlin “pays” with technologies in return for all this. He stated that within the framework of agreements on this assistance, the production of “Shahed” type attack drones has been established in North Korea.
For this reason, the Ukrainian President called on allies, including the US and the European Union, to strengthen sanction pressure against Russia.
Earlier, Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced that the Kremlin had started “secret mobilization.” According to his assessment, approximately 300,000 new conscripts could be sent to the war against Ukraine by the end of the year.
According to Brovdi, Russian President Vladimir Putin will try to act as quickly as possible, as he announced his intention to capture Donbas by spring. For this reason, it is claimed that those mobilized may be sent to the front without proper training.
In mid-September, the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) wrote that Russia could deploy North Korean servicemen in the Sumy and Kharkiv directions in order to increase pressure on Donbas and free up some of its forces.
