The United States, Azerbaijan, and Armenia have agreed to establish trilateral technical planning groups for the implementation of the TRIPP project ("Trump Route").
Modern.az reports that this was stated in a trilateral statement published on the website of the US Department of State.
According to the statement, Brendan Hanrahan, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia, and Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, announced the establishment of trilateral technical planning groups to advance the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project.
The multimodal transit route will be discussed within the framework of joint activities of representatives of state agencies and technical experts from the three countries.
The initiative aims to contribute to long-term stability, economic development, regional connectivity, and commercial prosperity. The project also serves to strengthen the provisions of the Peace Summit Declaration reached on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump.
The statement noted that the parties have agreed to establish the first two trilateral planning groups, which will deal with transport and electricity transmission issues.
The activities of these groups will be an important step in solving complex technical issues and moving to the next stages of the project, including its connection with other regional infrastructures.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to launching all mechanisms envisaged within the TRIPP project as soon as possible.
