King Mohammed VI of Morocco has appointed 50-year-old Fatima al-Mansouri as head of government. She became the first woman to hold this position in the history of the kingdom.

Mansouri, who also held the position of mayor of Marrakech before her appointment, was tasked with forming a new government.
Her government is expected to invest billions of dollars in projects related to the 2030 World Cup, and at the same time fulfill promises related to fighting inflation, increasing wages and creating new jobs.
It should be noted that on September 23, elections were held in Morocco for the House of Representatives, the lower house of the parliament. According to the results of the elections, the "Authenticity and Modernity" Party, which is part of the ruling coalition, won. According to the Moroccan Constitution adopted in 2011, the king appoints the representative of the party that won the most seats in the parliament as prime minister.
