Russian troops are reportedly approaching the Ukrainian city of Dobropolye from the south and east, with individual infantry units entering the city.
Modern.az reports that Ukrainian military commentator Konstantin Mashovets released this information.
According to him, small groups of soldiers were observed around Gannovka, near the mine waste heap in the northeast, and in the southern neighborhoods of the city. Mashovets also stated that a Russian soldier was discovered in the south of the city, having changed into civilian clothes and transmitting information via radio.
The report notes that other Ukrainian sources have also confirmed the advance of Russian forces into the area of multi-story residential buildings in the south of the city.
The main attack is being carried out in the directions of Novoye Shakhovo–Gannovka and Dorozhnoye–Novy Donbass. In the south of Dobropolye, fighting covers the areas of Belitskoye, Svetloye, Chernigovka, Krasnopodolye, and Vodyanskoye.
According to Mashovets, in the west, Russian units are advancing from the directions of Novoaleksandrovka and Shevchenko, while individual groups have reached Novogrishino. An advance towards Sergeyevka has been recorded north of Kotlino. Russian forces are reportedly in control of part of Sofiyevka, and fighting for Toretskoye continues.
According to the military commentator's assessment, if the Russian command cannot capture Dobropolye with a direct assault, it will try to encircle the city from the west and northeast, cutting off supply routes via Belozerskoye.
Parallel to this, pressure is reportedly continuing in the direction of Druzhkovka. Mashovets assesses this as an attempt to form the southern flank of the operation against the Slavyansk–Kramatorsk urban agglomeration.
