The US administration is temporarily suspending Microsoft's applications for permanent residency - “Green Card” - for foreign specialists working with H-1B visas.
Modern.az reports that the decision was announced by Vice President J.D. Vance at a press conference held at the White House. He accused the company of laying off American employees and replacing them with foreign workers, and of abusing the relevant program.
Vance stated that, according to calculations, Microsoft hired approximately 1.5 foreign workers for every American employee it laid off.
