The European Union (EU) has approved the 22nd package of sanctions against Russia. Approximately 1600 companies and individuals associated with the defense sector have been included in the "black list".
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the head of the EU's foreign policy service, Kaja Kallas.
"EU foreign ministers have just approved the blacklisting of approximately 1600 companies and individuals linked to Russia's military-industrial complex," Kallas wrote on the social network "X".
The sanctions package will come into force after the relevant list is published in the EU's "Official Journal".
