3 people who illegally cut down trees in Oguz have been detained.
Modern.az reports that investigations were carried out regarding the felling of 15 alder trees and causing material damage of more than 5 thousand manats to nature in the area of Khachmazqishlaq village of Oguz region. A. Mammadov, a 58-year-old resident of the village, suspected of cutting down the trees, was detained by police officers.
During another operation, it was discovered that 60 hectares of municipal land in the area of Yaqublu village were illegally occupied, 350 blackthorn bushes were destroyed, and as a result, material damage of more than 26 thousand manats was caused to nature. Two people suspected of committing the act were detained by police officers.
Criminal cases have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code regarding the facts, and investigations are ongoing.
