Fatima Muhajirani, an official representative of the Iranian government, announced that her country maintains both its military readiness and its preference for a diplomatic solution.
Modern.az reports that in an interview with ISNA agency, she stated that Iran “still keeps the trigger pulled,” but the main goal is “sustainable peace.”
“We fought a war with the world's largest military power for 40 days, and we still keep our finger on the trigger, awaiting a negotiated settlement,” Muhajirani emphasized.
She added that Tehran bases its diplomatic issues on the principles defined by the country's leadership.
“Our main focus is on lasting peace. As our leader said, we conduct diplomatic activities based on three principles: honor, wisdom, and expediency,” the Iranian official noted.
