President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.
According to Modern.az, the letter states:
"Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the remarkable date - the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America, I am pleased to sincerely congratulate you and, in your person, the friendly American people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, and to convey my best wishes.
The United States of America, which declared its independence with the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which became a symbol of the struggle for freedom, indomitable will and democracy, on July 4, two hundred and fifty years ago, gave impetus to the establishment of a new order not only on the continent where it is located, but also throughout the world. Having passed a glorious path of development during the past period, the United States is today a strong and powerful state in every respect on the global arena. Currently, thanks to the policy you are implementing with determination and resolve, the number of magnificent achievements of your country is increasing, and its leadership, credibility and high reputation in the international arena are further strengthened.
The successful development of Azerbaijan-United States relations in an upward trend in the recent period is gratifying. We highly appreciate the strategic partnership relations established between the two countries, and we express our gratitude to you for the great importance and support you constantly give to strengthening our interstate relations. I express my confidence that the Strategic Partnership Charter, signed in February and raising our relations to a qualitatively new level, will give impetus to the development of partnership in traditional areas such as economy, energy, connectivity, security, as well as digital transformation, artificial intelligence and other important directions.
We also highly appreciate your resolute efforts in promoting the peace agenda and ensuring sustainable development in the South Caucasus. The results of the historic trilateral meeting held at the White House on August 8 last year at your initiative created a completely new positive atmosphere and situation in our region. Azerbaijan and Armenia are now living in peace and establishing trade relations. At the same time, I would like to specifically note your country's continuous support for the implementation of infrastructure projects serving stability and prosperity in the region, especially the "Trump's International Peace and Prosperity Route", which will ensure an alternative, reliable and safe connection between Asia and Europe.

We attach special importance to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, which has great potential. I am confident that by fully benefiting from this potential and existing opportunities, we will achieve the strengthening of our interstate relations and the further deepening of our strategic partnership through our joint efforts.
