A 28-year-old woman in Britain has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for causing the death of her 3-month-old daughter.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that according to the information, at the time of the incident, the woman had consumed alcohol and started behaving inadequately after using drugs. Late at night, she went to her neighbors' houses and caused a dispute, and also argued with her ex-husband. During this time, she left her 3-month-old daughter alone in the cold outside for about 20 minutes.
The woman then returned to the child, saw that she was severely cold, and took the baby home.
According to the prosecution, the mother took a hairdryer to warm the child and placed it next to the baby, directing the hot air flow towards the child. She then left the room.
This situation lasted for about an hour. The mother then saw that the baby had no signs of life and her p was covered with burns.
The woman took the child to the balcony and only then called for emergency medical help. She told the doctors that she did not know how her daughter died and that she found her in this condition.
According to medical experts' investigation, 18 percent of the baby's p was covered with burns. The cause of death was stated to be overheating of the p.
Experts also noted that the child's death was a long and very painful process.
As a result of the court, the woman was found guilty of causing death by negligence and sentenced to 6 years in prison. She will have the opportunity for early release after serving 3 years of her sentence.
