Shahin Mustafayev discussed the North-South corridor with his Russian counterpart

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Aleksey Overchuk discussed issues of development of the North-South international transport corridor and expansion of cargo transportation between the two countries.

Modern.az reports with reference to the Russian government that the issues were discussed at the meeting of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.

The parties also discussed issues of cooperation in the fields of trade, economy and investment, industry, energy, agriculture, transport and logistics.

Special attention was paid to measures to increase mutual trade turnover, expand trade and economic relations, develop transport links and improve the activities of border crossing points.

Sh. Mustafayev and A. Overchuk also reviewed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level and the decisions of the 24th meeting of the intergovernmental commission.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects of practical interest for Azerbaijan and Russia
