Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musayev, who is detained in Armenia, will remain in that country for some time.

Modern.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in an interview with the “Ctrl Z” program of the “Infocom” publication.

“Our criminal case procedures will be carried out in Armenia. At least for a certain period, he will remain in Armenia. The investigation is ongoing, he is currently in custody,” Pashinyan said.

The Armenian Prime Minister also commented on the fact that the residents of Shaki village were not warned in advance. According to him, at that time there was no evidence confirming that the Azerbaijani serviceman had crossed into Armenian territory.

It should be recalled that, according to the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan, Nasimi Rasim oglu Musayev, who was serving active military service in one of the military units located in the direction of Lachin, was not at his service place on September 26, and a search for him was launched. Later, it was determined that the serviceman was in the territory of Armenia and was detained by the relevant authorities of that country. The Azerbaijani side announced that contacts with the relevant Armenian authorities are continuing to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

An Armenian court has ordered Musayev to be held in pre-trial detention for two months.
